Would you enjoy interviewing directors, technicians, actors or our theatre-loving audience? Would you like to illustrate the ins and outs of the festival? Or do you prefer hitting the road with your audio recorder? Do not hesitate and join the editorial team of het TheaterFestival!

During the festival, an enthusiastic group of editors will work with different media to interview theatre makers, reflect on performances and report. Your reports will feature in the magazine, on our blog, in podcasts, radio broadcasts and videos. Two coordinators offer you learning opportunities and guidance. Editor and writer Sixtine Bérard guides the writers and illustrators. Audio creator Hannah Lyssens leads the audio team.

When will you start?

Even if you can’t attend the whole period, you are more than welcome! Please indicate in your application which period or days you are available to participate.

Writing editors: From Wednesday 4 to Saturday 14 September in Antwerp.

Audio editing: From Wednesday 4 to Saturday 14 September in Antwerp.

Image editing: From Wednesday 4 to Saturday 14 September in Antwerp.

How to apply?

Apply by Monday 27 May 2024 (12:00) at redactie@theaterfestival.be. In the e-mail, please include your contact details (name, e-mail address and phone number). When doing so, also send one pdf file (A4 size) of no more than two pages:

Tell us briefly who you are.
Tell us what period/days you are available to join the editorial team.
Let us know why you would like to be part of the editorial team and where your interests lie (audio, image or text).
Optional: Add a previous text, image or audio piece that you have made before and that you are proud of.

From all submissions, we will put together a diverse and enthusiastic editorial team. We will let you know if you made the selection by Monday 6 June.
